Evil falls upon a small town when the Virgin Mary statue goes missing from the local grotto.

Taking place in a Gaeltacht village, Brúiteoir follows Garda Traoloch as he searches for the lost Virgin Mary statue. His investigation continually becomes sidetracked as he runs into conflict with hysterical community members who fear a curse has fallen upon the town in the midst of the missing statue.
