Animal Instinct is a short drama film written and directed by Ciara Foran, exploring risk, chance and friendship.

A short drama film about two unlikely friends who stumble upon an underground gambling syndicate

Bruno (a hedgehog) and Pan-Man (a panda) con their way into an underground gambling ring run by a group of elite stuffed animals. Disillusioned by their seemingly never-ending lucky streak, they enter a game of poker against the syndicate's regulars.

A Photo Story

This film was created as part of a photo story project during my first year of Film and Screen Media at UCC. As production took place during the COVID-19 lockdown, crew and equipment were limited.

Coloured photography lights were created using quality street wrappers, with stuffed animals filling in as the cast. Voice acting was completed remotely.
